Sports Physiotherapy - Introducing Chris!

Updated: Jun 23, 2020

Sports physiotherapists, particularly those that compete themselves, understand the stress and constraints that an athlete is under whilst trying to achieve greatness. They understand the mental and physical toll that injury setbacks can take and how heavily they can impact preparation for an event or competition. A sports physio is able to use both their perspective as a health professional as well as an athlete to provide their patient with the right guidance through their recovery plan or how to maximise results.

Introducing Chris Pollock, the newest member of the team here at Effectus Physio. Chris has over 10 years’ experience working as a physiotherapist around the world, graduating in 2008 with a Masters of Physiotherapy. Chris is currently furthering his development as a Physiotherapist by completing his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy through LaTrobe University. With extensive experience competing in the Endurance Sports Arena both in Australia and throughout Europe, achievements including, completion of the Berlin Marathon, a marathon PB of 2:58:34 and Half Iron-Man PB of 4:36:54, Chris will provide his patients with the treatment, knowledge and support to sustain high levels of performance.
